BIOLOGIST | BROADCASTER | FILMMAKER
CONSERVATIONIST | ADVENTURER
My name is Lizzie Daly, a wildlife biologist, broadcaster and filmmaker from Wales!
A healthy curiosity for the natural world has lead me to conduct research and make wildlife films all over the world. From filming penguins in Argentina to humpback whales in South East Alaska I have been very lucky to document wildlife and conservation stories from a variety of untouched places. I have been working as a broadcaster now for 3 years. From Blue Planet Live Lessons to the BBC2 series 'Curious Creatures' I have a lot of experience in the broadcasting world and have a real passion for connecting others with the natural world. On top of that I am determined to celebrate Wales and it's beautiful welsh wildlife!
(There will be 3 new segments on welsh wildlife coming out on BBC One's new Weatherman Walking series in 2020).
On top of that I am proud to be an academic teaching and outreach fellow at Swansea University and continue to bridge the gap between the general public and scientific communities. I have a varied scientific background from studying the weird entomological world of Drosophila and ladybird larvae to researching how we can protect and coexist alongside the largest land mammal on the planet - the African elephant. I am a conservationist with a fierce passion to protect our oceans and keep our wild spaces..well wild!
You can see which organisations I work alongside by exploring my affiliations page or to find out more about my next wildlife adventure by following me and my social media for updates!
